Learn to read music without the meltdown

Finally, an online sight reading* course made especially for those who feel held back by self-doubt, learning challenges, age, or past fails.

My goal is to make learning to read music accessible and fun for everyone—especially those who’ve tried and failed before, or who feel held back by age, self-doubt, learning challenges, or the belief that music is only for the naturally talented.

Having had learning challenges myself, I set out to create the course I wish I’d had: one built on clear writing, engaging explanations, humor, and exercises grounded in brain science.

If you’d like to help shape the course, I’d be grateful if you could take a few minutes to share your experience learning to read music—or what’s held you back from starting. As a thank-you for your time, those who complete the survey in good faith will receive complimentary access to the pilot version once it’s released.

If you know others who might benefit from this kind of course, please feel free to share the link.

* A note on terminology: I use the term “sight reading” to mean learning to read music notation, not the stricter definition of playing a piece at first sight. That said, mastering the ability to read music notation is the first step toward that more advanced skill.
